This is me!

 

I’m Rachel!

I’m so glad you found my little bit of cyberspace. I’m a wedding, elopement and portrait photographer based out of Portland, Oregon. A homegrown Pacific Northwest Native and I love it here. I’m madly in love with my husband of 14+ years and mom of 2 busy boys. Most days you can find me working, shuffling kids around to school and sports, at The Box (crossfit) and depending on the time of day, drinking coffee or wine and watching Netflix with our two Siberian Huskies.

A few things that make my heart happy are: My sexy husband, long hugs from my kids, Jesus, coffee, wine, my dogs, crossfit, hiking, snuggling with a blanket, traveling, good food, sports, card games and basically anything that keeps me active and social.

Nothing makes my heart happier than working with clients who are joyful, adventurous and love being in love as much as I do. My goal is to capture and highlight the essence of who you are and share your story with the world.

Rachel was so helpful, patient, sweet, hilarious. And how she managed to wrangle a good photo out of a grumpy teenager & a disobedient 4 year old…I have no idea but bless her forever for it. The resulting photos from our session captured our family in all our random and funky glory They literally took my breath away. Additionally, she found a way to layer nature with out pictures, weaving the sea, sun and sky in perfect harmony to compliment our family. I’m beyond grateful for Rachel. What gear do you use?

 

I’ve been a loyal Canon user since day one. I just upgraded from the 5d Mark IV to the mirrorless R6. For weddings I use dual cameras. Here is my current lens list…

50mm F1.2 L USM (I just got this one and It’s quickly becoming my favorite)

35mm 1.4 L II USM

70-200mm F4 L IS USM

85mm 1.8 USM

 

What is your turn around time to get our photos after the shoot?

 

For weddings and Elopements my general turn around time is 12 weeks! I try to get them done sooner, however during “busy season” it’s a little more difficult to get them out earlier. You do get sneak peek galleries within two weeks though!

All other sessions are returned wiithin 4 weeks.

 

Can you help me with what to wear and locations options?

 

ABSOLUTELY! I’m currently working on all my new guides. Session guides, location guide, pricing guides. All of these will be sent to you via email or mail when you book your session with me. You can also totally text me outfit options and I can help you that way as well!
